Mushroom Kits are essentially a myceliated block of substrate. All the technical work has been done for you, and all you need to do is open it up and start spraying with water.

Remove the stamped out window at the front of your Kit. With a clean, sharp knife, cut an X into the plastic. Place your Kit in an indoor location with ambient light, but out of direct sunlight. Spray with water 2x per day. Mushrooms will start to appear in under 2 weeks!

No, our mushies like darkness half of the day, and light the other half — just like if they were growing under a tree canopy. As long as they are away from direct sunlight, they will thrive!

Inside your kit box is a living organism called mushroom mycelium. We recommend opening it upon purchase. If you're not ready to use it, keep your Kit in the fridge for up to 6 weeks. If you store it too long, they may start fruiting inside of the box.

Anywhere indoors, away from direct sunlight. We recommend growing them on your kitchen counter. Try to avoid the laundry if you use a dryer often, or a bathroom where you have hot showers — hot steam is not good for your Kit.

With the right care, expect 2 or 3 crops. We provide the best commercial grade substrate and fungi strains, but ultimately their growth is dependent on the environment and care during the fruiting process. In terms of yields, expect about 200g to 300g on your first crop of Oysters. Following flushes are likely to be smaller until the block runs out of energy.

To harvest, reach your hand between the mushroom cluster and the box, twist and pull just enough to separate the mushrooms from the box. You can also cut them off carefully with a sharp knife. You might have a few baby mushrooms left — remove them all. You can then start spraying again for another crop.
