Shipping Policy

Thank you for visiting and shopping at The Funguy. Following are the terms and conditions that constitute our Shipping Policy.

Domestic Shipping Policy

Shipment processing time

We’re committed to quality every step of the way. That’s why we produce all of our own mushroom products – from culture, spawn to substrate! (We’re cultivating living organisms, so timelines reflect incubation periods and might be influenced due to weather and temperature.)

We work hard to ship your orders placed before 5pm (AWST – GMT+8) on the next business day. Orders placed after 5pm (AWST – GMT+8) may be shipped in 2 business days.

Orders placed on Thursdays to Sunday may be shipped on Mondays depending on weather, to avoid your precious mushrooms from sleeping over the weekend in a courier warehouse.

In super busy times, please allow 3-4 business days for orders to be processed.

Your order will ship once all items are ready (including backorder items). To avoid delays, create two separate orders — one for available items and one for backorder items.

Please note that listed processing times do not include courier shipping times once a parcel leaves our facility.

Shipping Costs

Shipping is a flat $10 per order.

Free shipping is available to all Australia on orders above $60 excluding bulk items

Free shipping is calculated after any promotion or discount.

Please note that some bulk item products do not qualify for free shipping, including but not limited to: millet, sawdust pellets, soyhull pellets, and coco coir.

Destinations

We offer postage to all Australian addresses including P.O boxes and AusPost Parcel lockers. Please be advised that we do not offer international shipping.

Tracking

Once your order has been shipped you’ll receive an email with your tracking link so you can stay up to date with where your order is at.

Please note, some small items (such as greeting cards by themselves) might be sent via regular mail without a tracking code.  This condition will be described on item’s page.

If the delivery address is super close to our farm on our way to the shops, we’ll just drop your order ourselves. An “Your order #number was delivered! (Yay)” email will be sent. This delivery method is decided on a case by case basis.

Pickups

Possible for confirmed online orders under prior arrangement by contacting us. Please note, farm visitations aren’t possible at present due to our busy schedule.

Damages

If you received your order damaged, please contact us for a full refund as per our returns policy.

Returns Policy

We stand by the integrity of our products 100%. We are committed to the success of our customers and will do everything we can to help you on your mushroom growing journey! We understand that sometimes returns are necessary. We will provide a return or refund under the following circumstances: (Please note: Shipping costs will be refunded only if the product is defective. For change of mind returns, we cannot refund the shipping fee. There is no restocking fee.)

  1. Products can be returned for a full refund or replacement if a mistake was made on our end. For example, we sent you the wrong product or the product arrives defective. Used products damaged by the customer cannot be returned. If you change your mind, you can return your product to us within 14 days if it is unused and in original its original condition.
  2. Initiate your Return by emailing diego@thefunguy.com.au or by messaging us on social media @thefunguyau. Include your order number, detailed reason for return, and pictures or a video of the product that supports your reason. If you qualify for a refund due to defective or incorrect products, there is no need to send the item back to us. If you qualify for a refund due to change of mind, you will have to send the product back to our warehouse before we can issue a refund.
  3. After your claim has been approved, a refund receipt will be emailed to the email address you used when making your original purchase immediately.
  4. Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment immediately. Replacements will be shipped within 3 business days. Refunds issued due to change of mind will be issued within 3 days of us receiving the product.
