Join The FunGuy WA at our New Mushroom Farm in Morley – WA for a thrilling experience of growing gourmet mushrooms. Attendees will be welcomed at our urban mushroom farm, for a glimpse of how a small commercial scale farm works.

This is an IN-PERSON event, where the basics of gourmet mushroom cultivation will be discussed, followed by hands-on preparation of your very own mushroom block, allowing you to put your newfound knowledge to the test and embark on your own mushroom cultivation journey.The workshop will cover tested and proven techniques, using readily available and affordable local materials. The objective is to provide a comprehensive, hands-on learning experience, eliminating the overwhelming amount of information available online and the trial and error often associated with novice mushroom growers.

With their fast growth rate, mushrooms make a perfect activity for kids and those seeking the freshest produce possible. You don’t need to invest in expensive lab equipment to grow gourmet mushrooms, and you will learn techniques using common household utensils that work.

 I have done the hard work of many trials and errors, using materials easily found in WA, to create a comprehensive and successful workshop for you. Get ready to hit the ground running and start growing your own fungi! Each mushroom block retails from $30 to $40. By learning how to make them at a fraction of retail price, mushrooms can become an affordable gift or affordable and nutritious food addition to your diet.

The workshop will conclude with a gourmet mushroom tasting, allowing you to discover the unique flavours and textures of these increasingly popular delicacies.

All of our workshops are held at our urban farm in Morley, WA. We'll email you our exact address once you have purchased your ticket.

Parking is inlcuded in the ticket price.

Should this event be cancelled due to weather or covid restrictions, we’ll attempt to book another date at the same or close by venue. Should a new date not be suitable to any attendee, a full refund or credit to another event will be given.

If you cancel your ticket within 7 days of the event, or don't show up on the event day, no refund is available. You’ll still be able to access all workshop material online. We can post your spawn and bags at your own costs. Please contact contact Diego@thefunguy.com.au

Please note, I’m not a big fan of these rules but they are in place as these workshops are expensive to run and I need organised attendee numbers to cater to everyone without wastage. In brief, just contact me upfront as possible and I’ll endeavor to sort out your booking situation with minimal consequences to you.
